Jesus said that when he returns, the world will be in an identical spiritual and moral state to the days of Noah. When we look at the critical spiritual aspects of the beliefs and behaviours of Noah's time, we can see similarities with society today. It is commonly assumed that the people in Noah's day lacked genuine religious involvement and did not adhere to anything resembling the original faith that Noah preached. However, it's surprising to discover that there was a strong religious culture during Noah's time and preached an almost identical message to Noah's. This religious influence was strong enough to deceive everyone except God's chosen elect.

When we examine Christ's words from a spiritual perspective, we see a significant active spiritual presence just before the flood, which continued until Noah boarded the Ark. We see people were being baptised and took part in the form of the Passover and unleavened bread, observing calendars that likely resembled God's calendar right up to the day the flood came. However, only eight souls were spared, despite all this. The flood caught everyone by surprise. Christ's return will be equally unexpected.

Please consider reading the study 'The Tower of Babel—Its symbolic meaning'. Many will be surprised to learn how it established the foundation for our religious structures today. Religious organisations, denominations, and associations all have their origins here.
